When life gives you lemons, add VODKA!

Take A Sip

I knew you had GREAT taste! Welcome and take a sip with me, grab your glass and take a note, as I start the details of why I decided to blog. Listen, this is the intro but I promise there will be more flavor to come. After 32 years of life I always find myself giving advice to strangers and loved ones. I like to think of myself as the girl who tells you all the details after having a few drinks (I do dis sober)! 😜 When life gives you lemons, add some vodka, duh! Life is not easy and sometimes we can feel alone in our journey. This is why I wanted to share my life with you. A nice martini can make the day better but having a friend who understands where you come from is such a more joyous experience. Through life I have faced discrimination, heartache, and feeling broken. What I found at the end of the dark tunnel is love, hope, and faith. My goal is to share the sunlight in those cloudy moments of life, so share with me as I share with you. Lets get started with me! I grew up in what they call a blended family. I lived primarily with my single mom and would visit my dad and step mom during weekends and holidays. Like most people my age, we had a single parent that worked long hours and we would only have moments with them because they were working on making sure we had a better life. I was fortunate enough to have a blended family that all the parents were able to get along! In total there is 7 of us and I am lucky enough to be the one that started it all, so yes, I am the oldest! Being the oldest sister definitely prepared me for the next journey life brought me to, which is mother-HOOD, it is ghetto, but it is my favorite hood by far. Another key recipe about me is I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 14 which turned my world upside down and changed my outlook on life; both for the sweet and the sour, but through it all I always made it  with my FAITH. Whether shaken or stirred, sweet or dry, no matter what I am still a MARTINI, and I can't wait to take theses sips of life with you....❤
